Well, the bricks DID arrive this morning and thankfully, they are the CORRECT ones. The boys and I drove past mid morning and the brickies were onsite..WAHOO! They weren't due till tomorrow so that was a nice surprise!
Simon spoke to our SS late Friday who gave a rundown of what was to be expected over the coming weeks. The ground floor bricks should be completed within about 5 days, after which the scaffolding will be delivered. The roof and second storey bricks will then begin.
In other news, the plumber did a rough in last week and Simon is very proud to announce his 'baby' - the stormwater pit, is almost complete.
The pipes for our kitchen sink
The western side of the house showing the roughed in pipes
Same again, but on the eastern side
The above pic is looking down to the backyard from the second storey (yes, we had a very cheeky peek upstairs!). The stormwater pit is awaiting certification, then we can cover it in and it's DONE! You can't see how big the pit actually is in this pic, most of it has already been backfilled with blue metal.
You can also see our sexy rainwater tank which will eventually sit on the western side between the two windows in the leisure room. The pool looks inviting don't you think? It has that murkey mosquito infested swamp look about it ....noice :)
