There is a small amount of roofing over the media room which needs to be finished and the air-con guy was due on site this week but I can't tell from the outside whether he's been or not. The sparky is due to connect us to the street tomorrow, as well as the gyprock being delivered.
We're still waiting on the plumber to install the downpipes and finish off the rest of his work but that doesn't affect lock up so our SS is relaxed on that one. The rest of the bricks need to be cleaned too. The fireplace that was installed last week is not the right one, so that will have to be changed at some point before the gyprocking begins.
We should have another update from our SS tomorrow. We're getting solar power and the panels are due to be installed on Monday. I have asked the company to confirm the installation with our SS so I'll check that with him tomorrow too.

ReplyDeleteSo Wisdom are ok with you guys having solar panels installed by a different company? Metricon wouldnt even let the company doing ours onsite for a day to do the electricals before the gyprock goes up (which would be much easier all round!!) so if Wisdom dont have issue with it thats great!
Do you think much more will happen before Xmas?
Great news Rachael! Sounds like they are on the ball before the Chrissie break. Happy for you guys that you are seeing progress. We are not seeing much at all and are getting quite frustrated:(

ReplyDeletecan i ask which company you are using for the solar or are you going through Wisdom, if so, wow, they weren't too keen when we enquired and the price quoted was 10 times the going rate at the time

Shayne - what a pain for Metricon not to allow your solar gurs onsite :( Our SS is relaxed with other contractors as long as he knows about it and they co-ordinate with him.

Harry - We are using Origin and it's completely seperate to Wisdom. It was actually a last minute decision by us, to get in before the government feed-in tariff was reduced.
