Initially we were not happy about the above but after Simon spoke to our new SS earlier this week, we're looking forward to 'D' taking the over the reigns on our build. He's really switched on and keen to meet us on site the week after next. We'll do a walk through of the site with him and run over the timetable from here. Really happy about that and looking forward to meeting him.
Our previous SS will no longer be working in our area of Sydney apparently so that's the reason for the change, nothing sinister (that we know of!).
On a side note, we have an answer to the issue with our highlight window. There was miscommunication somewhere between Wisdom & Timpelle Kitchens. The window HAD to be placed where it is due to an extra support beam on the eastern elevation (we have a slightly sloping block). Not a whole lot we can do about that!
We've had brickies on site yesterday and today. I drove past this morning and they were making great progress! As I type, a storm has hit, at least it's knock off time for the guys anyway!
I know the feeling re: change in SS, we had the exact same situation :) We've still to meet our new SS but we are going to set up a meeting onsite in the next week or so.
ReplyDeleteHope the brickies can get back to work tomorrow - this is such crazy weather we are having at the moment!
Hi, I have been watching your blog as we are building in the shire too. We also came very close to picking the symmetry asphalt brick to but at the 11th hr went with a render promotion. Hope all continues to go well for you:)
