- Remainder of roofing to be installed (above the media room window and the alfresco)
- Carpenters to finish the eaves and install the cladding
- Plumber to install downpipes and complete rough in
- Scaffolding to be removed
- Remainder of bricks to be cleaned (whilst onsite, the brick cleaning had commenced!)
- Electrical rough in and air-con
We've also asked him to give us a quote on having the two windows on either side of the front door frosted. I can't believe I never picked this up at the display home. It doesn't bother Simon but I'm not fond of people being able to look straight through!
Wisdom closes down from 22nd December to 10th January and all is tracking well for us to be at lock up before Christmas holidays. From the commencement of linings, it should be 8-10 weeks until handover. EXCITING!!!
After meeting D, we headed out to Di Lorenzro for our tile and carpet appointment. We'd been out there on a few reasearch missions previously so had a good idea of what we wanted. The appointment took about 2.5 hours and 'M' made the whole process very easy. She was helpful, honest with her opinions and gave some really great suggestions. The colour palette is very clean, simple and consistent throughout so keeping in tone with the rest of the house.
SELECTIONS:
Main Floor Tile - DC1350 Ash Glazed Porcelain 600x600. We chose a floor tile as per the display home. The light colour ties in very well with the rest of our colours. It's larger than the standard tile, therefore costing us extra per sq/m for the tile and also to lay.
Wet Area Floor Tiles - DC1649 Ash Glazed Porcelain 300x300. The same tile as the main floor but smaller.
Wet Area Wall Tiles - CAGWH24 Gloss White 200x400. We've chosen to go all white for the walls in a rectangle tile with floor to ceiling in the main bathroom and ensuite (at extra cost!).
Feature Tile - B739-88 Impulse Rockpool 300x300. These tiles will feature in the shower niches in the main bathroom and ensuite. There will also be a feature strip running vertically from the top of the wall above the bath, down over the bath and to the floor. The ensuite and powder room will have the feature as a 300mm splashback. The two niches were included in our package but again we are paying more for the extra feautre tiling.
External Tile - DC972 Beige Rockface 305x305. To be tiled on the front porch and front balcony only. The rear alfresco will be Himalayan Sandstone, same as the pool surrounds.
Carpet - Godfrey Hirst 580 Husk 50/50 Wool/Synthetic Blend. This was our easiest colour selection of the day! It works well with everything.
| To the left are our kitchen bench and cupboard colours. To the right are the bench, cupboard and feature tiles for the bathrooms. Underneath is the floor tile. |
| Again, the bathroom feature tile with bench and cupboard colours against the floor tile. |

Great colour choices, really like the floor tiles you've chosen, its warm and looks modern and wont date over time.
ReplyDeleteFunny how Wisdom do this selection at this stage. We had to have our selections complete before frame stage.
