Drove out to The Ponds today and met with C to go through the revised tender. We walked through the house room by room and ticked everything off our list making sure we had it right. I'm glad we did as it gave us the opportunity to look at the size of the kitchen again. The display house is 38 squares and we're building a 33. The kitchen will be slightly different and we thought perhaps it might be too small. Initially, we added an additional metre to the length of the kitchen but after walking through we've decided to keep it as is, which will save us almost $5K.
We also made a few other minor amendments but other than that, all is looking good. Now onto the next stage! The working drawings will be ordered on Monday and turnaround is about 2-3 weeks. It appears the build won't start until somewhere between April and July depending on council but they are hopeful of a Christmas completion....fingerscrossed!
